Dear Diary:Fun Times Ahead! (07-12-10)

Tha fun has arrived! Sorry, with the release of the new Toy Story 3 movie I’ve been sorta reliving my childhood over the past few days, lol. Anyways, I’m a happy camper today as you might guess. Got things just about ironed out with my school switching over to online courses this Fall and I’ve decided to study software development! Boring stuff, I know, but schooling is important though.

More excitingly for me though is my grandfather’s 80th b-day celebration coming up. Can’t wait to see tha fam. I’ve been so busy trying to pull this together and that together that I haven’t really had time to communicate at all with some of them over the past few weeks :( Oh well, here’s to a more verbal future between us, lol. Other than that, I will be continuing to update B-Marcel.Com and starting this September you will begin to see even more content added to the pages-sections that you should find useful. There’s stuff on a variety of topics that I’m involved with and I am even beginning to release some business project information, services and products this September 2010 as well, can’t wait.

I’ve been writing content galore or this site and for Lecramb Writes Ink lately so I think that you all will be surprised hopefully at the amount and the depth at which this content goes. There is everything from professional wrestling material and commentary to astrology, numerology, and other forms of mysticism along with numerous other topics. I hope you enjoy it.

Finally, I am going to be looking for a new living space soon. The arrangement I have now has outgrown itself. I needs more space in short. I have successfully launched several business ventures as I had wished to when I came to this living condition and now I’m just about ready to re-spread my wings and soar off on my own again…Hopefully this time for good…Why do I suddenly hear that one Drake line: Celebrating getting up out my Momma’s Basement, lol! I guess this will bring the death of my Live: From my Momma’s Basement ;( web series I’ve been working on…yessss! Oh, don’t be sad about it, we’ve got plenty of other hilarious webisodes and video clips already in the process of being created for B-Marcel Comedy and BrandonMarcelTV too and our new upcominng YouTube Channel. Stay Tuned Everybody!

Peace & Luv,

Brandon Marcel

Dear Diary: A New Day! (06-08-10)

Director's chair and clapperboard and spotlight

Things are really gearing up to turn out pretty beautifully for me this year. I’ve already got one profitable venture and things look to be doing better and better each and everyday. Take B-Marcel.Com for instance. I haven’t even officially launched and began to really promote it as a site and we already are seeing over 1,000-2,000 + viewers a day. I am loving these results!

Anyway, I am also seeing some growth in my entertainment pursuits. Somehow my novice tracks over @ Reverbnation have struck a chord with a number of individuals and I have been receiving more and more fans literally daily over there which is nice because I then have the chance to connect and contact each new fan to promote and build a potentially longterm relationship with these new fans. I am happy to see that after years of developing artists that I am actually having some successes (seemingly very easily) very early on, so who knows where this could lead. I think thing with BlackRaven Entertainment are going to really be popping off beyond 2012 (I’m a realist…these things take time, bruh, lol).

I’ve also finally chosen a new college to attend. I needed to take the online route because of my newer workload, so I decided on Westwood College. I am going to be taking software development this time through. I’ve taken 2 courses before in this area and loved it, plus I’d love to get in on tha app/widget boom. Who knows, maybe I’ll one day be able to get my Bill Gates on, haha!

Finally, I am currently writing a play about these artists thatI can’t give too much about it away right now, becuase I am literally just getting started on it today! And I have also decided to pick back up this screenplay I began writing in high school when I was 16 during a springbreak period called “The Sisters”. I am looking forward to this one. Of tha few people that have actually been shown this over the past 8 1/2 years (shameful, I know…lol) many people thought that it really has some great potential as to become a hit. I hope so, it’s a dream of mine to ultimately get to one day produce and direct show series and films so hopefully this is just one small step in tha right direction. Wish me luck with getting my foot in tha door over tha next year or so as I try to complete and pitch these ideas.

Peace & Luv,

B-Marcel

Sunrise in the Florida Keys - Big Pine Key, Florida

Things are beginning to turn up all roses for me lately. Last month tha growth of my careers was tremendous. Some things increased ova 1000% ova tha past 3 months! I can’t really understand what is going on here, but I hope it doesn’t stop. I haven’t even been promoting my websites and products and services and they have been getting hit up with view, etc. like crazy ova tha past 3-4 weeks. If I were a stock I would surely be purchasing some of me lately, lol, j/k.

I just wanted to thank everyone that has been viewing my works and leaving very encouraging messages about my websites, ideas, artwork, bmarceltv, etc. Especially though, I would like to thank those of you that have visited me on my reverbnation page (http://www.reverbnation.com/brandonmarcel) because not only have you been leaving me kind messages and comments about my music, but a lot of you have joined my team and email list as fans, which I truly do appreciate. I am only a novice music producer and believe me, I know I’ve got a looooong way before I am considered even an intermediate music producer. I to be honest never wanted to step to tha microphone and stage or do anything other than help other aspiring musicians to get their careers going strongly and profitably, so I am completely dumb-founded that I have nearly 2000+ fans on Reverbnation. Go figure, right?

To be honest, my major goals with tha music industry are still tha same as they always were from tha very beginning though. I wish to become tha behind tha scenes guy pulling strings for others helping them put their dreams into action and satisfaction. I have had some major successes in developing artists being that some have actually been offered major record label contracts (one of which several times ova now) so I know that I know what I am doing in that arena. It’s a whole new ball game beyond songwriting and doing tha record executive/artist developer thing, haha. But I’ll perservere. I’m actually looking for a talented local producer in Milwaukee, WI, USA that would hopefully take me under his or her wing to help teach me tha “proper” beat layering techniques and of course mixing and mastering techniques starting NOW!

I’ve got a huge respect for all of tha arts and I don’t jump into things related to them quickly like most aspiring people do. I think you have to become knowledgable about the industry and creative side equally first before you strike out into tha deep of climbing tha ranks in any arts. I’ve studied and been developing music acts for nearly 13 years now and I’ve been intensely studying visual/fine arts for nearly 15 years now and I am only now really beginning to look for income from these avenues, so you know that this is really a core belief of mine.

It angers and saddens me how disrespectful artists are these days with cheap software and just a few connections and social media sites most even some what talented people will strike out and declare themselves top artists of tha new millenium, haha! I don’t believe in being boastful like that either. I want my work to speak for itself. If you like it cool, if not, well that’s okay to becuz a lot of others already do and many more will I’m sure with some promotions :) Anyway, thanks again for viewing my works, for your kind comments and for even purchasing my works whether they be my articles/stories, paintings/prints, blogging content, or music relate products or services (IndieMusicLounge.Com 2.9 nearing completion!!).

Peace & Luv,

B-Marcel

MLB: Brewers vs Astros May 26

Yesss! It is almost officially summer and you know what that means right? Yeah, tha women out there will be rawking less threads, lol, oh joy, haha. Anyway, I know that this is what most of us Milwaukee, WI residents have been awaiting for a looooong time! I mean there’s gonna be that horrible “traffic” of teenagers riding up and down Capitol Drive and other major streets, ice cream trucks polluting the air with their horrible noise and oh yeah, the insanely obese women wearing clothes far too small for them (I think they need a Maury Polvich makeover, huh? Haha, just joking. Summer in Milwaukee, WI does come with its drawbacks but then again…

There’s also tha insane amount of festivals and street parties/fairs, lots of booze and hey…maybe tha Brewers may start to do well too…A guy can hope right? Anyways, happy summer from B-Marcel.Com (we know it’s still early, but its been over 70 degrees for tha past week here ;) .  Here’s a little old skool Will Smith to get you in tha mood:

Holla, It’s May Bitches!!!!

So glad that it is finally May. I can finally step back from my administration work and step into producing products and launching my long awaited websites and new career avenues. Oh joy Ren. I am looking forward to taking things to the next level with my growing BlackRaven Empire!

Tomorrow I will be launching the online Artwork Store for my art distribution company Lecramb Artwork on my site B-Marcel.Com (www.b-marcel.com/artwork). The site will make everything from posters, to prints, to photos, computer graphics and much more available. Those in the Milwaukee, WI, USA area will actually even be able to hire me and my staff of artists to create artistic projects for them (such as murals…I love doing these and can’t wait to finallly be able to design and create some more of them). I am looking forward to hearing from my patrons what they like and dislike about my works!

Cherrytime.com, my online domain, web hosting, and Internet website service/product company is growing more and more each day. I can’t wait to see what is in store for this month. Iwill be releasing a new email list designed to help those new and old to designing websites and computer graphics in on a few of my secrets and “rituals” regarding these matters. I also will be launching a YouTube channel to show new users how to work programs like NVU, Dreamweaver, Visual Basic, Photoshop, Illustrator and much more! Be on tha look out for my announcements and new postings on those issues as well as the latest sells and deals from my Cherrytime.com online shop.

I-Rawk Fashions is also moving right along well too! I will have the official I-Rawk Fashions online home and store ready to go at the start of July. Interest has been high from potential customers so I am excited about this re-launching. It’s soon to be parent company IndieMusicLounge.Com is also gearing up for a second chance to once agian steal the show and the hearts of music lovers everywhere. I am introducing elements of the site starting in June, but if things go well and to plan I will have a bunch of new products and services available for you to purchase starting in late May. I’m very proud to finally be able to say that IndieMusicLounge.Com is officially going to be BACK IN BUSINESS!!!!!

Personally too I am on a high. My cousin was just picked up by what I believe to be a division one college to pla basketball. I’m so happy for him and excited to see him play next year and look forward to potencially  seeing him play one day in the NBA…Hey, a guy could hope, right? Lol I also met this great young up and coming singer that I have been talking back and forth with for a year or so yesterday. She has a real cool vibe to her and I can’t wait to begin to collaborate with her hopefully under my new label imprint BlackRaven Entertainment, if not, I still look forward to helping develop her skills and seeing her blossom as a future industry star…that is if I can get her over her stage fright issues, lol…I’ve done it before though.

Oh yeah, I’ve also finally gotten healthy enough again to revamp my own P90X challenge. I’m down over 14 lbs and am actually able to make it through the entire discs now, you know…except for that damn Yoga CD ;( I’ve started doing two-a-days on it recently to try and speed things up a bit, but I still am trying to pace myself, but my ultimate goal is to get fit enough and lean enough to compete in amatuer bodybuilding competitions. I am heading over to a dietician soon to get the proper diet and heading over to GMC to get the hook up on the right supplements…I don’t know though. Everytime I venture into a GMC I tend to end up buying over $100.00 worth of materials (in other words-Every Damn Thing the Sales Person Tells Me That I Must Have to be Healthy in my Pursuits)…Do you think the sales people see me coming? Haha!

Finally, my baby projects are that under BlackRaven Entertainment and becoming an excellent actor and comedian are taking shape. I’ve found classes at Comedy Sports, The Milwaukee Repartory, and abroad to help me in my pursuits here. I hope to be an all around entertainer in the end, though I know that it is tough to master just one form of entertainment, if not damn near all of them! Anyways, here goes nothing!

Peace & Luv,

-Brandon James Marcel (tha one and only…)

Tons of work to do!

So this new writing gig I’ve got is a big one…possibly. I am writing articles again! This time on celebrities though. I’ve decided to go in-depth and try to write biographies for some of the entertainment world’s top acts. This covers comedians, actors/actresses, and musicians. A few other prominent figures throughout history will be profiled as well. So far I’ve got a list of nearly 900+ figures to write about. I plan to have around 25 articles done month.

I’m also picking things up with IndieMusicLounge.Com again. I’ve been slowly clearing the web of some of the past IML stuff and am looking forward to the creation of the IndieMusicLounge.Com social network. I hope that what i have planned for IndieMusicLounge.Com will better suit more indies and now their fans too. You’ll be able to upload a ton of music throughout the site as it has elements similar to Soundclick.Com, Myspace, and Garageband.com. I’ve also decided to designate some areas of the site to major recording artists. I figure if the site gets be (cross your fingers, lol) they may want to use it too. So there will be areas for them to have profiles separate from the indies and there will be areas dedicated to the news happenings of each of the major genres and these section will cover indie artist and major artist news. So much is in store for IndieMusicLounge.Com that I am totally excited. I have even found an investor for when I am ready to launch it (probably not ’til I finish up with college).

Oh yeah, I was playing around with an old keyboard yesterday and discovered synth, lol! I’ve been creating my own tones ever since yesterday afternoon.

Here We Go!

Hey all, got a lot going on right now. I’ve decided to launch a bunch of writing projects right now. I actually got a few writing gigs I’ll tell you about in the future. I’m excited about them though, who can’t use additional dinero.

I’ve gotten back to production (music) and am looking to start posting at least a beat a week up on my Soundclick page. I’m having a lot of fun practicing and getting back in the groove of things, plus I have this young artist I might be developing soon. I don’t know if I’m going to push for him to become a BlackRaven Ent. artist once I launch again, but I’m considering…he’s definitely got the passion for the game. I’m excited about this because developing acts is one of my most favorite things, especially watching them go on to find success. Most are playing regularly and one was just a few seconds away from signing with a major label. I think this is why I enjoy doing IndieMusicLounge.Com so much. I enjoy seeing artists go and reach out for that golden ring.

I also have found graphic designers for the I-Rawk Fashions line that I was doing under IndieMusicLounge.Com when it was a company still so I am happy about that. I was shooting to have a new line of t-shirts out for that by September and now it looks like that is totally possible! Hopefully things go even stronger for I-Rawk Fashions this time out even though I’m just doing it as a hobby sort of thing this time around, but who knows, if things really pick up I’ll almost be forced to look at it more seriously again. I’d actually like this because I enjoy running businesses a ton.

Well that’s enough babbling for me today.

Peace & Luv,

B. J. Marcel

A Better Change

I have been making a lot of changes with my businesses to be. First off I have added a new blog to the Marcel Magazine Blog @ http://marcelmagazine.blogspot.com. This is to increase the amount of traffic in the future to our main site (www.marcelmag.com) hopefully and it is to help earn additional income via the adsense ads we are allowed to use on it. I’m going to use Wordpress for the official blogs on the main site because I love all of their plugins so much. Hopefully putting up our main site will lead to mega ad revenue which will lead to me being able to launch the online magazine that I dream of. Marcel Magazine is a men’s magazine covering girls, sports, world news, politics, money/finance, music/movies, and celebrities so I believe there is a future for it somewhere down the road. I’m in no hurry to get there though.

Somethings I am excited about though are these new freelance writing gigs I’ve gotten for myself. I earn residual income on my articles each month for the rest of my life or the life of the sites they are on. I am planning on writing 1100+ articles each year for the next three years for these jobs. I calculated this out and I could be earning anywhere from $21-36,000 a year if I successfully complete this task. It’s great though because once I complete the 3300 articles I’ll be earning this amount, minimum, each year forever without anymore work on my part.

On the music front I am also trying something daring. I heard that Smokey Robinson over the course of his career has written over 4000 songs, well, I wanted to give that a try. I’ve got 197 so far and I’ve got the titles for the next 350 songs so far. I’m going to start writing next month. My goal is 3 songs a day til I reach my goal. I’m also working out some of the details for my artist contracts for BlackRaven Entertainment. I want them to be artist friendly, however, I know just as everyone else does that it is getting extremely hard to make money in the music industry. I am however going to do my best to create fair and just contracts for my artists once I’m ready to sign artists again.

That’s all for now, remember to reach for the moon, because even if you miss you’ll still be amongst the stars

Peace & Luv,

B. J. M.

Dear Diary: 7-15-08

I have been working on the BlackRaven Entertainment business plan and my clothing line business plans mostly lately.  I had them completed in the past but feel now would be a good point to revamp them.

I have lost 33 pounds so far in my weight loss journey and can’t wait to reach my final goal of 181 lbs.  Once I reach that goal I will have lost 100 lbs.  I started a blog, Fitness Forever, to track my journey and to model to others that may want to do the same.  Who knows, maybe Fitness Forever could evolve into another business for me down the road.  That would be cool to help others lose weight and keep it off.

Musically I am starting to finally recover vocally from my sickness.  It has been lingering for about six weeks in my chest area not allowing me to sing properly.  So I’m recording the final songs to my album I’m working on and moving forward with my songwriting career working on Bryan’s solo project and some gospel and country songs too.  I am going to start recording my songs probably late this year, early next year for the publishing company so I’m excited about piecing the instrumentals right now.  That’s about it for now.

TTYL,

B. Marcel

Dear Diary: 6-30-08

I worked intensely yesterday with Bryan on 5 of my songs.  He really liked the newest one She’s Sexy that I wrote (I’ll post the lyrics later).  It seems like I’ve got the right feel for the album I’m creating and that the album is going to be very diverse.  I can’t wait until we get further down the road with it.  The only big thing now I’m worried about is getting vocal training.  I need to learn breathing techniques the most.  Other than that I should be golden.

Today I just spent working on my business plans and reading a new book: Screenwriting For Dummies.  I have a couple of ideas for screenplays that I’ve had for some time that I am starting to work on.  One I’ve been working on since I was a teenager in high school called The Sisters.  I’ll keep you posted on my progress with it.  That’s about it for today.

TTYL,

B. Marcel
